Hello, my pretties….

Happy Halloween, my pretties!

Cute, yet ugly and spooky, in our window.  The eyes light up and flash when activated.

This one walks and makes a horrible cackling noise as well, when you clap  or drop something by mistake…alarming–especially when things ‘go bump in the night.’

And, yes, they are a bit like the obnoxious, noisy toys that grandparents buy for grandchildren!

Mom, those are GREAT witches! We have the one witch hanging on the hook in the kitchen like we did last year and Gwen loves it. When you ask her where the witch is, she looks and points right at her.

I’m glad you like them. :) The movies that I tried to post were too large. One was especially great with Dad holding two of the witches and the other one walking around in front of him (he was on his knees) I am clapping to get them to all go off and then I pan to his face which has a great, typical knowing look into the camera…like maybe: “I can’t believe I am a part of this silliness.” But now, who is really the silly in our family I ask you! :)

PS…What a fun image of Gwenie pointing at the witch.

That witch is straight out of a horror movie. You could not persuade me to put that in my house.

I’m talking about the one with the blue “Heroes” eyes. Also, it reminds me of those marionettes we used to get waiting in line to get back into the states from Tijuana while we were visiting our VW bus that was getting painted for like 2 months.

I like them a lot! But Ashley probably wouldn’t decorate with them because she is easily scared. Its so fun since you know how I already like to spook her around Halloween, she is extra spooked. We’re planning to watch a scary movie tonight mwa ha ha ha haaaaaa.

Joey would like the witches but Charles would run the other way. Every time we go to a store with Halloween decorations the boys want to check everything out. Joey likes to see the ones that make noise or have something that jumps out at you when you walk by. Charles on the other hand is terrified and begs Joe to not make it go off when he is near, “no daddy, no daddy don’t do it”. But that does not stop Joe. Charles is screaming and crying running through the store as Joe chases him around with it. I think Charles will be a little weary of all Halloween decorations now.

Joe, the blue eyes are funny, but they are reddish and lit up when they go off–and that’s worse.
Maybe to dark-eyed cultures blue is scary. And, of course, I had to tease Dad about the fact that they all had blue eyes (except our big black spider that drops at any sound, has green eyes that light up when activated).

Jon, I hope Ashley is still sane after being with you on Halloween. :)
Like I tell all you Kewish boys: “Be nice to her.” Actually, Dad and I are now trying to keep track of who owes who a scare.

Liz, that is SO funny about the boys’ tendencies. Charles has such a mental imagination that he probably can scare himself with all the possibilities of danger lurking. And, of course, ‘the acorn doesn’t fall far from the Oak.’ But, Dad denies (or has a loss of memory) on teasing his kids (while I am in the background telling him to stop it and that Dad’s are supposed to reasure and make the kids feel they are secure and safe)….I’m sure you know the routine. :)

Even in China you are decorating! They are cool, but I am with Joe. I don’t think I am a witch kind of girl. My girls hate going into party city near Halloween. It is too gross for them. They think all decorations should be “cute” and I think so to:)

You are decorting even in China! The witches look cool, but I am with Joe. I guess I am not a witch sort of person. Maybe it has to do with scary things always jumping out at me in the dark from my childhood. The funny thing is they always sort of looked like my Dad…….My girls hate going to Party City around Halloween. It is too gross for them. They think all decorations should be “cute” and I agree.
